In Minneapolis, heavily armed, masked ICE agents are attacking American citizens who dare to object to their lawless actions with overwhelming force and brutality. For the second time this month, ICE agents have murdered a US citizen who was acting in a lawful, nonviolent and constitutionally protected manner. These killings are nothing more or less than extrajudicial executions.
The Trump administration immediately flooded the news with faked accusations and lies, blocked local and state investigations into the killings, refused to initiate federal investigations into these murders, blamed the murdered victims all the while contradicting the clear evidence of its agents’ wrongdoing. The Trump administration is conducting a coverup, not an investigation. This must stop!
The US Senate is voting on funding for the Department of Homeland Security and ICE on Friday. Tell your senators to vote against ANY appropriations bill funding ICE, even if it means shutting down the government. The actions of the Trump administration are tyrannical and unconstitutional. We cannot continue business as usual while Americans are being assaulted and murdered by unaccountable ICE agents.
Call to Action
Call your US Senators to insist that they stop funding ICE! Democrats AND Republicans need to hear this message, now. If refusing to fund ICE results in shutting down the government, then demand that the government be shut down!
Furthermore, demand that the Senators seek justice by holding hearings and investigations into ICE’s actions. Insist that the state of Minnesota must be allowed to fully investigate these crimes. Neither the Trump administration's Department of Justice nor its Department of Homeland Security can be trusted to investigate these deaths.
